The business was started by Somwaru Muneshwer, the son of a cane cutter in Port Mourant, Berbice as a dry goods store.
Nine years later, the family moved to Georgetown, the capital city of the country.
The business was formally incorporated and moved to the prime commercial area of the city.
The family acquired the GNTC property which comprised of a hardware store, port and travel agency.
Officially entered the shipping industry and was appointed the terminal operator for 4 shipping lines.
Appointed the country agent and stevedore/terminal operator for Maersk.
Established a second store to handle walk in retail traffic.
Commenced construction of a 2nd terminal facility at Houston.
Awarded the tender to provide shore base services for Exxon Exploration and Development work in Guyana.
Future work ongoing at several sites in Georgetown geared towards the expansion of the company and development of the country.
